The Starter's Guide. Empty The Starter's Guide.

Post by Guest Tue Mar 17, 2009 6:33 pm

Alright! This is it! You've just registered, and you're logging into the game, the game loads, and you have no idea what to do. Hopefully, this guide will help those of you that feel that way!

So you log in, and this is where you are.
    The Starter's Guide. Jsgaq1

Check out the book on the right of your inventory bar, this is your mage book. You'll be using it to get around with teleports.

Now, you'll need to head to the west to start your adventure.

Firstly, go to the monsters highlighted in red.
    The Starter's Guide. O5umma

These are Dungeon Rats, they drop iron armor.
    The Starter's Guide. 34sjmac

Now once you have gotten enough iron armor, and are about level 15 combat, with balanced melee stats, head to the monsters just north, highlighted in blue on the map above.

These are Locusts, they drop mithril armor.
    The Starter's Guide. 2m6wca8

Now you have full mithril armor, that should have taken a little longer than the rats, now you should be around level 20 or higher, if you're not, it's O.K.

Now click on the Spell Book I mentioned earlier.
You want to click the spell highlighted in purple.
    The Starter's Guide. Ampgy0

The spell in red is the teleport to where you started the adventure, we will use this later.

Once you have clicked the spell I said to, you will appear in the Monster Cave. Here, the monsters are higher leveled and drop better armor.

Head right to the Giant Angry Rats.
These drop adamant armor, the next step up in defense. Now is when you may start to die more, but don't worry, if you die, you keep your armor, you just have to teleport back to where you were, and make sure the attack the same monster that killed you!
    The Starter's Guide. Jj6ah3

Now, once you have full adamant and are about level 30-40+, head just by the rats and find the Kurasks. These are a little higher leveled, and may be harder to kill.
The Kurasks drop rune armor, some of the best you can get without dungeon keys.
    The Starter's Guide. Svlzpe

Now, it will take a lot longer to get full rune than any other armor so far. So take your time. But once you manage it, head over to the east to the boss of the Monster Cave, Slash Bash. He is the hardest monster you have fought so far, and you will most likely die many times in the process of killing him. You should be about 45-60 combat by now. Slash Bash drops God Armor, and occasionally, the yellow key, which I will explain in just a minute.
    The Starter's Guide. 2rr8bb6

The true goal you should have when killing Slash Bash, is to get the yellow key, as God Armor does not yet have the bonuses that full rune has. Once you finally get the yellow key, head back to the start of your journey by clicking on the teleport highlighted in red, on the image of the Mage Book farther up. Now, just outside the bank, are 3 portals, each of which you will need a key for.
    The Starter's Guide. Mwtri9

Once you get the yellow key, go through the corresponding portal and fight the monsters and boss there. Then get the key from that boss, and so forth.

I plan on making a guide for the portals and their bosses later, as I do not have all the keys yet.

Good luck, and enjoy the game!

There's a SkillCape shop, staff shop, general store, and tanning store in Canifis, those are the only shops that we have. Buy all the other goods from other players.
